Badouzi (八斗子)
Above the surface
Badouzi is a fishing port and jump-off for boat dives on the northeast coast. The harbour has parking, a small museum, and seafood restaurants. Trips usually leave in the morning; bring motion-sickness pills if you need them. We run scheduled boat dives from here.
Getting there: Drive from Taipei (about 1 hour). Meet at the harbour; the boat operator will confirm the exact pier.
Below the surface
Several reefs and pinnacles within a short boat ride. Rocky structure with cracks and small caves; groupers, morays, nudibranchs, and schooling fish. Visibility often 8–18 m. Depths from about 10 m to 25 m+. Suitable for certified divers; some sites can have current. Good for both wide-angle and macro.
